Building

Even in the darkest hour, there is an opportunity for light to shine. In 2020, a global pandemic disrupted every aspect of life.
It was during this time, in the midst of millions of broken lives, that our dedicated group of Sabbath School plant members in southwest England, Swindon, to be specific, chose to elevate our efforts to spread the love of God, acting on faith.
We began regular meetings online and grew our congregation from 17 members to 40. By the end of 2021, more than 100 believers convened weekly and received their uplifting through the word of God and spiritual songs.
Since that time, the Swindon Ghana Seventh Day Adventist group has blessed many souls.
By the grace of God Almighty, the group became the fastest growing establishment in the South England Conference of the SDA Church. Moreso, Swindon Ghana is on record to be one of the fastest from start to be fully organised as a fully recognised church in the United Kingdom. Glory be to The Most High.
What started as a small group of Christians, is now a growing ministry that reaches people from Swindon, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Bristol, Ghana and many other places, both in person and online.
But there’s more to be done, and we need your help.
While our membership grew, our walls did not. We currently rent a modest space to hold our in-person Sabbath worship services on Saturdays. Our Bible studies, Sabbath School, prayers meetings, and other faith-filled events are still done remotely online via Zoom.
As a renter, our church service is constrained by time, cost, space, contracts, schedule conflicts and other issues common to renters. God has called us to expand his work.
To do so requires us to purchase a permanent church building.
Our goal is to raise £2.5 million to buy a permanent building.
Our long-term vision is to change the narrative of continuous renting to buying a permanent church building.
This shall create a church home that is filled with the spirit of god and the space, resources and flexibility to grow our ministry and help more people.
It is said, God helps those who help themselves. Our in-house Church building fund is nearing £100,000.
Admittedly, we cannot reach the goal on our own. Your support through donations, and referrals to others to also help, will go a long way in helping to reach this goal.
With your support to our vision, Swindon Ghana Seventh Day Adventist Church will raise the next generation of children and share the gospel with all seekers.
Your donation will have a lasting impact on the future and make the world brighter for everyone. May God richly bless you.
